To junk or not to junk...

Blogging.   .   .  .
I guess we can try this .. If I don't like this I'm deleting this. I already had a moment with the "cross out" text ... I am by all means not a writer, at all, so please ignore punctuation, grammar non sense that I probably slept through in high school....... Yup!
Well... I like , excuse me... LOVE junk. Not just junk...antiques. Old..vintage. Eras I wish I lived in but never did and will only get to read about. Those little houses in the 1950s... Women stayed home and did their house chores in heels & dresses!! Yes!! Or.. The 1900 military love letters I get sucked into for hours in the antique store & find myself thinking of the family for weeks. Hopeless romantic?  Maybe... As I sit here eating lucky charms in my 2-year olds snowman blanket. Cute.
& I'm a hipster. Peace sign is my signature hand gesture. It just happens.
So back to antiques... There's that warm feeling :)
Living in York there is a lot of country mixed with city.. Mixed with history. Google or ask Siri. Reading is a good thing.
Across the bridge is a little town named, "Columbia." Aka. Antique heaven. Aka old. Vintage. History. LOVE!
  1. Tollbooth Antiques Market
    215 Chestnut St, Columbia, Pennsylvania
    (717) 684-5555

  2. So, what did I find?
1950's vintage kromex canister set for $25. I died inside. I got that feeling that you do Christmas morning when you're a kid. It's in perfect condition. And what makes vintage and antiquing better, there is an actual patent number. Usually what were use to seeing is "petent pending"...yeah. No.

    What else?
1900's world hand forge water jug. Ask me how much...$7. Yes. High five! Ok. Ok. So they only usually sell for $40...but it's beautiful and the history behind this is amazing.
Basically, day 1 antiquing in a new location was a huge success. I saw so many ideas and items that I wanted but....slowly down and finding what you really are looking for is key.
Next adventure, I'm out for an old cabinet with a opening glass door that I can start my mini bottle/medicine bottle collection.

Blog viewers, bloggers...junk and antiquing obsessed..what makes you love "junk"? Where is your favorite spot?
Find something for me and I'll find something for you! Let's make this fun. No more boring blogs. Yippie!

Ok so blogging wasn't so bad....
    It was..ok. Fine. Fun!

    Until next time,
    Peace. Love. Have fun junking!
